The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind has sent his greetings to fellow citizens on the occasion of Chhath pooja.

In his message, the President has said, "On the occasion of Chhath Pooja, I extend warm greetings and good wishes to all my fellow citizens whether in India or abroad.

Chhath Pooja is one of the oldest festivals of our country wherein devotees worship the Sun God. We also pay our obeisance towards our rivers, lakes and ponds, which are nature’s gifts to us.

Let this year’s Chhath Pooja fulfill wishes of each and every one and bestow health and happiness on all. Let us resolve to make our environment, including all our water resources, safe and pollution free”.
